Welcome to the website of Atlantic EcoWorks, a P.E.I. based company focused on helping people respond to their environmental concerns and reduce their
environmental impact. While governments and businesses have a key role to play in addressing our environmental problems,
there is also an important role for us, as individuals, to play. We can all make changes around our homes and in our lives that will
not only lessen our environmental impact, but will also save money, support our local economy, provide health benefits,
and improve the quality of our lives.
Through the development and delivery of public environmental education courses
and seminars, it is the goal of Atlantic EcoWorks to engage people on a personal level, facilitate discussion, and share
information on environmentally friendly actions to assist them in bringing their lifestlyes more in line with their environmental
concerns.
If you haven't yet started taking action and need a "boost," or if you have started but would like some new ideas
and positive reinforcement, then consider accelerating your progress by joining with friends, neighbors, or colleagues to attend an
Atlantic EcoWorks course or seminar delivered in your community or place of work.
Note 1: In the latter half of 2009, I
had the pleasure of working with the Environmental Coalition of Prince Edward Island to compile a resource book called Stratford
in Action: Sharing Best Practices to Reduce Our Carbon Footprint. The resource book features carbon reduction actions from 47
households in Stratford and reading it is a good way to get into a "green" mood. Click here or on the image below to
